2025 ZERO WASTE EX-AEQUO PRODUCT AWARD – in collaboration with DS Smith, an International Paper Company
Qwarzo and DS Smith, an International Paper Company, received the 2025 Zero Waste Product Award (ex aequo) for the fish box made of paperboard coated with Qwarzo®, enabling the replacement of traditional polystyrene boxes, which are difficult to dispose of after use.

Qwarzo was recognized for its mineral-based coating, an alternative to traditional plastic coatings, which supports the development of more circular and recyclable food-contact packaging.
